The Parade everyone is talking about! We are taking over the streets of Hay to let all the colours of the rainbow fly. With masses of floats and entertainment find a spot in the main street with the best view to enjoy the celebration.

Zain is ecstatic to be joining the Hay family to celebrate the incredible Rainbow on the Plains festival. Taking to the stage with his energy of the rainbow he will be getting you ready to dance the night away. From New York to London he has been performing all over the globe to entertain and celebrate the incredible diversity of the amazing world we live in!
Shelita Buffet is a country girl coming from her home town of Broken Hill. Shelita was crowned Miss Broken Heel in 2016, she now works on board the Indian Pacific as part of its Journey from Perth to Sydney jumping on board in Broken Hill to entertain guests for the evening as they travel before returning back to Broken Hill where she hosts a morning walking tour for guests heading into Adelaide. Country life is a big thing for Shelita who performs in and around regional NSW, Shelita says “ Bringing drag to regional parts of Australia is so important for young people to see that they can be whoever they want to be and live the best life” Shelita was excited to be apart of the last Hay Mardi Gras walking with ACON and is so thrilled to be back in Hay again this year to celebrate Freedom 2022!

Max The Drag Queen
Since taking out ‘Best New Talent’ at the Melbourne Drag awards Max has been non-stop cartwheeling her way onto every stage in her path. Max was recently the face of Platypus shoes Pride campaign for 2022! Heavily influenced by current pop goddesses and renown for delivering the latest anthems true to style, don’t expect to see this kicking, dipping and flipping diva stay in one spot for too long!
Justin Teliqure is Melbourne's premiere Drag Kings who specialises in hip hop while also having choreographed and performed genres as varied as rock, musical theatre and old school jazz. He is a mixed bag of creativity and loves to bring new acts to the stage. He is a sweet guy with smooth moves and a flirty personality!
In 2016, Justin was reborn into the Melbourne drag scene. His fluid moves, sexy swagger and humorous nature has kept his audiences wanting more. Justin enjoys performing, connecting with his community and of course Tequila.
Justin has become a staple on Melbourne’s biggest drag stages. He loves a great competition and has won ‘So you think you can drag’ 2016 & 2017 and was named ‘Mr. Queer Expo of 2018’.
Justin thanks his fans for their support and cannot wait to entertain audiences everywhere.
DJ Jesse BOYD
New Zealand-born DJ, JESSE BOYD (him/he), has spent the last several years spinning tunes across some of Melbourne’s most iconic venues. An endless love for the dancefloor became a passion for sound production and mixing which compliments his eclectic taste in music. His signature sound is a mix of commercial R&B and pop, alongside classic house and disco—whatever your mood, his command of the beat keeps the dancefloor pumping.
His diverse, adaptable sound can cater for a range of events. He’s frequently spotted at local spots such as Morris Jones, Emerson, Osborne, Poof Doof, Ms Collins, Fargo and Public House, alongside a variety of day parties and commercial events. Jesse loves mixing energetic sets, presenting both new and old tunes, while ensuring the crowd is connected, dancing and living their best life.
ACRAIG the classic king, from humble vinyl beginnings he's now packing more terabytes than your average spinner. Don't let those boy charms fool you he’s a seasoned machine.
Known for his club focus house-infused goodness with all the nostalgia of a pop tart for breakfast; he is guaranteed to leave you asking for more.
